RECIPE # 4568 - BREAKFAST HAM STRATA, Tuesday, December 7, 2010

7-8 slices sour dough bread

3/4  pound Ham, diced

2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

1 1/4  cup shredded swiss cheese

8 large eggs

1 1/2 cups sour cream

1/4 cup milk

1 (4.5-ounce) can chopped green chilies, drained

 

Directions:

Cut bread slices in half and arrange in a greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish.

Sprinkle half of the ham and cheeses evenly over bread slices.

Whisk eggs, sour cream, milk, and chilies together in a large bowl.  Pour evenly over ham and cheese in dish.  Sprinkle remaining ham and cheeses over top.

Cover and chill 8 hours/ overnight.

Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.  Let stand 5- 10 minutes before serving.

Yield:  8 servings
