RECIPE # 3934 - EASY BOILED CUSTARD - Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006

ANN COX/PURITY DAIRIES

1 qt milk
1 c sugar
2 T flour
4 egg yolks
1 T vanilla

Place milk and ½ c sugar in large glass mixing bowl and mix.  Cover and cook milk in microwave by cooking on HIGH for 5 minutes (this will scald milk).  Remove from microwave and stir to mix completely.  Mix remaining sugar and flour in a small bowl and stir in a small amount of hot milk mixture; beat.  Return to hot milk mixture and beat. Cook on HIGH in microwave for another 5 minutes.  Stir to mix.  Add some hot milk mixture to the egg yolks and mix.  Return to milk mixture and cook in microwave on HIGH for another 2 minutes.   Stir in vanilla and mix completely.  Chill and serve.  Yield:  6-8 servings
