RECIPE # 4375 - DANG GOOD PECAN PIE, Wednesday, September 30, 2009

RUSSELL KIRCHNER / TN STATE FAIR CONTEST FINALIST

Ingredients:

1 cup pecans halves & chopped

3 eggs

heaping 1/2 cup brown sugar

1 cup light corn syrup

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions:

Beat eggs.  Add sugar and syrup.  Then add salt and vanilla and last add melted butter.  Place the pecans in the bottom of the Pillsbury pie crust pan. 

Add filling. 

Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 - 60 minutes. 

When pecans rise to top of filling and form a crusted layer remove pie from oven and let completely cool.
