RECIPE # 4192 - ORANGE JUICE APPLE PIE - Monday, September 8, 2008

DEBBIE BAUMSTARK / PILLSBURY REFRIGERATED PIE CRUST CONTEST WINNER

1 package Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust (2 crusts)

3/4 cup sugar

5 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup orange juice concentrate

1 1/2 tablespoons of corn starch

Pinch of salt

5 medium granny smith apples

Peel and cut apples in to small pieces and put in a bowl, add the remaining ingredients. Mix well. Follow the box instructions for thawing the pie crusts. Using a 9 inch pie pan, place one crust in bottom of pan. Pour all ingredients in pie and then place second crust on top. Crimp the edges of the crusts together, removing any excess. Use a cookie cutter with serrated edges to slice vent holes in the top crust. Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for 10 minutes, then 350 for 45 minutes. Refrigerate 2 hours before serving.
