Sarah Palin taking aim at mainstream media with new project

By Joyce Lupiani. CREATED Jul 28, 2014

Sarah Palin, who was a vice-presidential candidate in 2008 and the former governor of Alaska, has launched a subscription-based YouTube channel, SarahPalinChannel.com.

Palin is describing her new project as a "news channel that offers a lot more than news." She is calling it a community where people can share ideas and discuss issues of the day.

In a promotion video, the right-wing darling asks if people are tired of the media filters, saying she is. She also says that she wants to talk to the people on "her terms." Palin promises that she will go beyond the sound bites and cut through what she claims is the media's politically-correct filter and things like Washington D.C.'s crony capitalism. She also says she will talk about the issues that the mainstream media won't talk about.

Other promised highlights of SarahPalinChannel.com will be video chats and extended features about her speeches and political career. The website also has a countdown of the days remaining in President Obama's presidency, a quote of the day and an image of the day.

Additionally, Palin promises to share some of the fun that happens at home with her family.

Palin has long complained about unfair coverage. Her new channel is an attempt to make her voice heard before midterm elections, according to the Washington Post.

Access to the channel will cost $9.95 a month or $99.95 per year.
