Titans Play Vikings In Final Preseason Game
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Titans took on the Minnesota Vikings Thursday night in the final game before the start of the NFL regular season.
As expected, neither the Titans nor Vikings risked injury with their starters one week before the regular season begins. Much of night's action was between backups looking to make one final statement before coaches cut their final roster to 53-players.
By Sunday, 10-players will be re-signed to the practice squad, unless they are picked up by another team.
For many young players, this game is an audition for their NFL career.
"As far as the way the game goes, there's going to be some guys who are going to get opportunities to play a lot and they may not be with this team, so they have a chance to show the rest of the league what they can do," head coach Ken Whisenhunt said before the game.
