Police Arrest 2nd Suspect In Murfreesboro Double Murder
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A second man has been arrested in a double murder in a Murfreesboro Walmart parking lot.
Demetrius Coleman, age 21, was arrested in Chicago around 10 a.m. Thursday. Murfreesboro Police had obtained warrants charging him with two counts of first degree murder on Wednesday.
Police said he was involved in the shooting deaths of Andre Chesterfield and Latre Lillard on January 29 at the Walmart on Old Fort Parkway.
Officers were called to the Walmart on Old Fort Parkway after the two victims were found unresponsive on the ground in the parking lot around midnight.
Coleman was held in Cook County, Illinois awaiting extradition.
Earlier this month, Murfreesboro Police arrested his brother, 19-year-old Danarius Coleman of Nashville, and charged him with two counts of First Degree Murder.
The motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
