Student In Custody For Making Threat Toward Middle School
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A student at a local middle school was taken into custody overnight after police said he made a threat online.
A staff member noticed a post on H.G. Hill Middle School's Facebook page on Thursday night, and called police.
Police and K9 units went through a thorough sweep of the school overnight, and found nothing suspicious or dangerous.
The student who posted the threat cooperated fully with investigators, and police said he had no means to carry out the threat. It was unclear what charges he may face.
While police said there is no danger for students or staff, they will have extra police officers on hand Friday morning when school opens.
