Veteran Receives Surgery After Botched VA Procedure
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Kentucky man who has been living with complications from a botched VA procedure has undergone corrective surgery.
Frank Coursey, an Army Veteran from Bowling Green, reached out to NewsChannel 5 back in June after independent doctors said he got the wrong surgery from the VA to try to fix his blood pressure.
Coursey has not been able to eat solid foods for three years. He said the Nashville VA formed a "care team" for him to streamline his care and hopefully get thousands in unpaid bills taken care of.
Thursday night, his wife said he is recovering from surgery that will hopefully correct his stomach problems for good.
