By Tiffany Johnson. CREATED Jul 30, 2014

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A convicted sex offender has been arrested for indecent exposure after multiple calls from a Nashville neighborhood.

Metropolitan Nashville Police arrested 28-year-old Charles Springer on Monday after receiving multiple calls from residents about a man exposing himself to several adults and children.

Officers responded to the Woodland Pointe neighborhood off Bell Road near Percy Priest Lake. Witnesses told them there was a man walking through the neighborhood wearing nothing but a towel and flashing his genitals at anyone he passed.

Police canvassed the neighborhood based on where each witness reported seeing him last. They continued to receive calls about the man, and eventually found him walking out of wooded area off Bell Road.

Police said Springer appeared to be drunk. He was taken into custody, and charged with indecent exposure and public intoxication.

Springer is listed on the state sex offender registry with three other prior arrests for indecent exposure.

He remained at the Metropolitan Jail Wednesday on $100,500 bond.
