3 Teens Accused In Home Burglaries, Car Theft
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Three teenagers have been accused in at least two home burglaries in the Nashville area.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said a 34-year-old man called 911 to report that three young persons had kicked in the back door of his home on Cedarmont Circle.
The homeowner hid in a bedroom and watched as the group took off in a silver Dodge. He also noticed one of the suspects was wearing a distinct white fishing hat.
Police spotted the car shortly after, with a passenger wearing the same hat.
After a brief chase, 18-year-olds Kenchisha Carter and Brian Hampton, were arrested along with their 17-year-old alleged accomplice.
According to investigators, the three have also been accused in another burglary at a Bridgecrest Drive apartment. Police said the Dodge Intrepid was stolen on August 28.
