3 Buildings Destroyed In Murray Fire
MURRAY, Ky. (AP) - Three buildings have been destroyed and others sustained smoke and water damage after a fire in Murray's Court Square.
The blaze ignited Wednesday morning in one building and spread to two neighboring businesses.
Murray Fire Chief Eric Pologruto told The Paducah Sun the cause of the fire and extent of the damage remains unknown.
Assistant Chief Matthew Tinsley said fire marshals weren't going to go into the buildings until they were deemed safe.
Tinsley said fire crews found flames coming out of the windows of Wilson's Florist, and the roof had weakened enough to where flames were showing through. They believe that's where the fire originated.
Buildings destroyed were Wilson's Florist, Profiles salon and spa, and the Thurman Campbell CPA offices.
