NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in an overnight crash in the eastbound lanes of Briley Parkway in north Nashville.
Metropolitan Nashville Police said 28-year-old Carlos Pichardo-Morelos, of Antioch, died in the crash at the Whites Creek Pike exit just after midnight.
Pichardo-Morelos was riding a Suzuki GSXR east on Briley when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and struck a guardrail. Police said Pichardo-Morelos, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike. He died at the scene.
Not long after, an eastbound car swerved to miss the motorcycle in the roadway and struck the inside retainer wall. The driver, 20-year-old Ronald Williams, told police he did not see the motorcycle crash. He was not hurt.
