CREATED Jul 23, 2014
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – An escaped inmate has been arrested and three other people have been charged with assisting him in western Kentucky.

Kentucky State Police said tips led them to Troy S. Lyons at a home in Owensboro on Tuesday. The 36-year-old was on work release Saturday when he walked away from James E. Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville.

Troopers also charged Sara B. Lyons, Dawn R. Fulkerson and Eric G. Fulkerson with hindering prosecution or apprehension on Tuesday.

All were in the Daviess County Detention Center. Jail records did not list an attorney for any of the four.

Before his escape, Lyons had been jailed for possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, trafficking in a controlled substance, marijuana possession, persistent felony offender, criminal possession forged instrument 2nd degree, and assault 2nd degree.

He has now been charged with escape 2nd degree, a class D Felony.
