23-Year-Old Man Killed In I-65 Crash In Goodlettsville
GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. – A 23-year-old man was killed in an early morning crash on Interstate 65 in Goodlettsville.
Officials with the Goodlettsville Police Department said the incident was reported around 3 a.m. Saturday on I-65 north near the Louisville Highway exit.
The driver, identified as Kevin Hawkins, somehow veered off the roadway and struck the rock wall side of a mountain. Hawkins was said to have been ejected from the vehicle.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police said he was not wearing a seatbelt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It was not known whether or not rainy conditions were a factor in the incident.
Authorities said the Fatal Crash Team would be back on the scene Sunday to continue its investigation.
