Semi Loaded With Ice Cream Drives Off Embankment On I-40
DICKSON, Tenn. – A driver of a semi-truck carrying ice cream was not seriously injured when his vehicle drove off a steep embankment on Interstate 40 in Dickson County.
Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. Friday at mile marker 163 on I-40 west.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 46-year-old Jason Lee Powell, of Florida, was driving across a bridge on State Route 48, when he somehow veered off the roadway on the right shoulder.
Troopers said the truck traveled down a 50 feet embankment and crash-landed on the I-40 roadway.
Powell suffered minor injuries during the incident.
No other details were known.
