BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Bowling Green's airport is on track to get $750,000 from state government to aide its effort to attract a commercial air service.

Airport General Manager Rob Barnett told The Daily News (http://bit.ly/1mYg8hz ) the state sent a letter saying the funds have been committed to the Bowling Green-Warren County Regional Airport. Barnett says the money is part of an incentive package to attract an airline into an unproven Bowling Green market.

Barnett says the Bowling Green-Warren County Airport will be able to present a $2 million incentive package to airlines.

The money should be available to the airport by July 2015.

Barnett says about 700,000 people annually travel to the Nashville airport to fly from a 10-county area in southern and western Kentucky.
