NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A convicted felon and his girlfriend have been arrested after detectives discovered heroin at their south Nashville home.

Metropolitan Nashville Police narcotics detectives arrested 33-year-old Dominique Bryant and 32-year-old Danielle Lucy on Wednesday.

Following a several week investigation into the distribution of heroin in the south Nashville area, detectives executed a search warrant at the couple’s home on Glencliff Road.

Inside they discovered 7.5 grams of heroin, three sets of digital scales, and a loaded pistol hidden inside an air vent.

Bryant and Lucy were charged with possessing heroin for resale and felony gun possession.

Police said Bryant, aka Shine, has previous convictions for aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated burglary and cocaine offenses. Most recently, he received a 10-year mostly probated sentence for a cocaine conviction in 2010. Police said a probation violation warrant was expected to be filed by the state.

Bryant was being held at the Metro Jail in lieu of $145,000 bond.

Lucy, who detectives said admitted to previously selling heroin on behalf of Bryant, was held on $115,000.
