NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A 30-year-old woman was killed when her car struck a tree in the West Meade area of Nashville on Thursday morning.

Amanda Holmes, of White Bridge Road, was killed in the crash on Wilsonia Avenue at Hickory Valley Road.

Metropolitan Nashville Police said Holmes was driving her 2007 Chevrolet Impala north on Wilsonia when she went off the roadway at the intersection, and struck a tree.

Holmes was not wearing a seatbelt, according to investigators. She died at the scene.

Police said they found an open bottle of wine inside her vehicle. Toxicology testing will determine whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
