THOMPSON STATION, Tenn. – Eight people have been arrested after officials uncovered an active meth lab at a home in Thompson’s Station.
Officials said the arrests included five men and three women at a home at 6649 Cool Springs Road, south of Highway 840.
The state Meth Task Force and deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at the address around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Deputies first went to the home to serve a warrant on a probation violation to a man at the house. When they arrived at the home, they found an active meth lab inside, and an inactive meth lab outside the home.
Hazardous response teams from the Williamson County and Franklin Fire Departments were also called to the scene.
All eight suspects had to be decontaminated before being booked into the Williamson County Jail.
Officials said the investigation was far from over.
"They have to process the scene. When you're dealing with a situation like this it's dangerous to start with and you have to be careful and more cautious," said Sharon Puckett, spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office. "It takes a while."
The identities of the suspects have not been released.
