Man Stabbed To Death During Fight In Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man was stabbed to death during a fight in a southern Kentucky parking lot on Monday night.
The Bowling Green Police Department said 55-year-old Phillip P. Cox died from his injuries after being taken to a hospital.
Around 9:46 p.m. Monday, officers were called to a fight in the parking lot at the corner of Fairview Avenue and 31W Bypass.
Before police arrived, the victim was driven away from the scene in a vehicle. Officers were able to stop the vehicle at the the corner of 6th and State Streets.
Cox, who had been stabbed once in the torso, was taken to the hospital by ambulance. He succumbed to his injuries after arrival.
Police said his body was taken to Louisville for an autopsy.
Investigators questioned the woman who was driving the vehicle that left the scene, but no one has been charged in the homicide.
The investigation was ongoing.
