I-65N Reopens At SR 840 After Semi Rollover Crash

CREATED Jul 12, 2014
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Lanes of Interstate 65 north in Williamson County were closed for nearly 12 hours Saturday while officials worked to remove a semi-truck that slid down an embankment on the side of the road.

Officials with the Franklin Police Department said the interstate has reopened after a tractor trailer ran off the road and slid down an embankment just before the Peytonsville Road exit.

The incident was reported around 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Initially, only the right lanes of the interstate had been blocked but officials were forced to close the roadway while they worked to remove the truck and repair the pavement around the crash site.

Southbound traffic was not affected by the incident.

The incident was cleared around 11 p.m.
