29-Year-Old Murfreesboro Man Accused Of Asking 14-Year-Old For Sex
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - A 29-year-old Murfreesboro man was arrested after detectives said he asked a 14-year-old girl for sex, and sent her inappropriate photos.
Murfreesboro Police said they were tipped off by the Harriman Police Department about Rocky Campbell in May.
Detectives interviewed Campbell, who they said admitted to sending the teen lewd photos of himself. They also said he confessed to asking her for sex and having her send him pictures of herself.
After presenting the evidence to the Rutherford County Grand Jury in June, Campbell was indicted for solicitation of aggravated statutory rape, six counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, and two counts of solicitation to sexually exploit a minor by electronic means.
Campbell was arrested on Thursday at a halfway house in Murfreesboro. A court date was set for Monday, July 14.
