NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man has been charged in connection with the alleged kidnapping of his ex-girlfriend overnight. Police said the man also assaulted the woman's friend who tried to stop him from taking her.
Metropolitan Nashville Police said 31-year-old Christopher H. Robinson surrendered himself Thursday morning at the Domestic Violence Division. Robinson, of Dawson Springs, Kentucky, was charged with kidnapping and assault.
The victim told police that she had recently broke up with Robinson. Police said Robinson drove to her home on Tusculum Road around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, where he forced her into his SUV.
Robinson also allegedly pushed her friend to the ground when she tried to intervene.
The victim was later found unharmed at the Exxon on Brick Church Pike, where she told police Robinson dropped her off.
Robinson was being held at the Metro Jail on $80,000 bond.
