2 Adult Teens, 3 Juveniles Charged In Maury County Armed Robberies
COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Five teenagers have been arrested in connection with a rash of armed robberies in Maury County -- including three early Wednesday morning.
Officials with the Columbia Police Department said 19-year-old Jakendris Scribner and 18-year-old Avondre Jackson were among the five arrested Wednesday.
Three of the teens were said to be minors, ages 14, 16 and 17.
Police said they're being charged as a group and as individuals for targeting businesses, including a Quik Mart in Columbia Tuesday morning. Minutes later, a man fitting the same description was seen robbing a Daily's convenience store in Spring Hill.
Officers said the teens were also responsible for the robbery of a fireworks stand last week and the 21 Up Video store.
