Antioch Robbery Suspect Taken Into Custody In Cookeville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man wanted for robbery and kidnapping in Nashville has been arrested in Cookeville.

Metropolitan Nashville Police said 22-year-old Kevin Boone was taken into custody for crimes committed in Putnam County. He remained jailed in Cookeville on six counts of aggravated robbery, one count of weapon possession and one count of theft.

On Tuesday, Metro Police said they had issued robbery and kidnapping warrants for Boone in connection with a robbery at an apartment on Old Franklin Road in Antioch on July 1.

Police said Boone met the victim at his apartment to allegedly make a purchase of hair care products. Instead, Boone and another man allegedly pointed a gun at the victim before forcing him back inside his home.

They got away with more than $2,500 in merchandise. No one was hurt.

The other suspect has not been identified.
