11-Year-Old Witnesses Fatal Stabbing In Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Police in Murfreesboro said an 11-year-old boy witnessed a fatal stabbing early Tuesday morning.

Officers with the Murfreesboro Police Department responded to Pine Court around 1:08 a.m., where they found 23-year-old Zaneil Radley with stab wounds to the chest and arm. He was taken to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital, where he died.

A domestic violence report from Murfreesboro Police showed that Radley had been involved in an altercation with a woman when he was stabbed, and the 11-year-old boy witnessed it. It was unclear of the relationship between Radley and the woman.

Officers interviewed those involved in the incident, but no arrests were immediately made.

Police said they planned several more interviews as part of their investigation. Once it’s complete, they said it was likely the case would be presented to the Rutherford County Grand Jury.
