NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Possible suspects have not yet been identified in connection with a shooting near Antioch Middle School that injured a 19-year-old.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the incident was reported around 1:15 p.m. Thursday, in the 5000 block of Blue Hole Road.
Jerell Bailey, 19, was shot while he and his 22-year-old brother were walking near the school. School was out for the summer at the time of the incident and no other injuries were reported.
Baily’s brother told police the two were walking from their home on Barella Drive to a bus stop close to the Global Mall, when two alleged shooters fired shots from inside a passing car.
Bailey was struck in the midsection and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where his condition was not immediately known.
The suspects’ vehicle was described as an older model tan car, with at least four male black teens inside of it.
