Suspect Wanted For Allegedly Assaulting MTA Bus Driver

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A suspect has been sought by police for allegedly assaulting a Metro Transit Authority bus driver in South Nashville.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the alleged incident occurred on June 14 while the bus was stopped on Harding Place at Wauford Drive.

Police said the victim reportedly told the victim to leave the bus because of his abusive language and demeanor. He refused and allegedly bumped the driver with his chest.

A struggle broke out between the two and the driver fell down the stairs.

The suspect fled the scene on foot.

He was described as a white male, around five-feet-ten-inches tall, weighing 230 pounds.
