Family Of 5 Displaced By Apartment Fire

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A family of five was displaced by a fire at an apartment complex in east Nashville on Monday night.

When crews from the Nashville Fire Department got to Riverchase Apartments on N, 2nd Street around 7:30 p.m., smoke was already billowing from one of the units in building Q.

Firefighters were able to get it under control in about 20 minutes. The fire was contained to the one unit. 

No one was hurt.

The Red Cross responded to help the family of five that lived in the unit damaged by the fire.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
