2 Injured In Dickson County Crash

DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. - Two people were injured in a single vehicle crash in Dickson County early Sunday morning.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 35-year-old Donnie Hunter Jr. was driving a 1989 Dodge Aries down Highway 70 when he veered off the road around 3:30 a.m. The vehicle struck four trees before coming to a stop.

Hunter, of White Bluff, was treated for minor injuries at the scene. His passenger, 54-year-old Barry Lewis of Burns, was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Troopers said neither men was wearing a seatbelt.

Investigators said charges were pending against both men, pending the outcome of the investigation.
