SMYRNA, Tenn. – The alleged victim of a gutsy purse theft said the two suspects need to be stopped before they put other people in danger.

Officials with the Smyrna Police Department said the theft occurred around noon on June 22 at the Shell Gas Station on Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna.

Christina Shinlever went after the two suspects who allegedly took her purse and ended up with cuts and bruises.

The suspects were caught on surveillance video taking the purse from her car.

She was dragged several feet before they got away.

“He had my purse and he was in the car and I grabbed a hold of the mirror and I actually ripped the mirror open and I was like that far from the handle,” she said.

The pair reportedly got away with a pocket watch and a $5 bill. Fortunately Shinlever had her wallet with her. Her cell phone was also taken, which had sentimental videos of her son on it.

Police have yet to make any arrests. Anyone with information should call the detective from Smyrna Police working on this case his number is 267-5012.
