Franklin Police Chief Accepts Position In Grand Rapids

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – David Rahinsky, the current Chief of Police for the City of Franklin, announced he has been selected as the new police chief in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

According to CBS affiliate NewsChannel 3 in Michigan, Chief Rahinsky was named the new police chief Friday afternoon by Grand Rapids City Manager, Greg Sundstrom.

In 2011, he was selected to replace Chief Jackie Moore when he retired. Rahinsky has been with Franklin Police since 2006.

Rahinsky’s first day in Michigan will be July 7.
