2 Coffee County Jail Inmates Walk Away From Work Detail
COFFEE COUNTY, Tenn. – Authorities in Coffee County are searching for two jail inmates who walked away from a work detail on Thursday afternoon.
The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office said Cory Keele and Lillard Presley walked away around 2:30 p.m. while working at the new Coffee County Middle School on Woodbury Highway in Manchester.
The pair was spotted running to a cornfield near the school, and deputies found some tire tracks along the edge of the cornfield.
Neither of the men was considered to be dangerous, but it was unknown where they may be headed.
No photos were immediately available. Authorities described Keele as a white male, approximately 6-feet tall and weighing 195 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Presley was also said to be a white male with brown hair and green eyes. No height was given, but he weighs approximately 165 pounds. He has two tattoos on his back.
At the time of their escape, they were wearing orange jail clothing.
