Metro Police Investigate 3 Overnight Shootings

CREATED Jun 27, 2014

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police in Nashville are investigating three separate shootings overnight.

Metropolitan Nashville Police do not believe the shootings are connected. They happened in Inglewood, Antioch, and east Nashville.

The first was reported around 11:30 p.m. Thursday on the 500 block of Ben Allen Road. Investigators said two men had been drinking, and one was shot in the foot.

Police said the victim was uncooperative, and would not give any other details. His injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.

About 20 minutes later, officers were called to another shooting on Bell Road not far from I-24. A man told police he was walking down the street when a four-door car drove up to him. One of the people inside the car then allegedly shot the victim in the foot before the car drove off.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

Then just after midnight, a man was shot multiple times in the leg along South 11th Street in east Nashville.

Police believe there was a possibility that more than one shooter was involved.

The victim had to be taken to the hospital for serious injuries, but he was expected to survive.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information on any of the shooting was asked to call Crime Stoppers at (615)74-CRIME.
