Smyrna Police Look To Identify Purse Theft Suspects

SMYRNA, Tenn. – Police have asked the public’s help in identifying two suspects accused of stealing a purse from a gas station in Rutherford County.

Officials with the Smyrna Police Department said the reported theft occurred around noon on June 22 at the Shell Gas Station on Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna.

Police said two suspects in a white Scion TC with tinted windows stole a purse from a vehicle in the parking lot.

The victim reportedly witnessed the theft and ran after the suspects’ vehicle, pleading with them to stop the car. The vehicle continued driving, dragging the victim beside the car and caused her the fall on the asphalt.

She suffered abrasions to her nose and arms as a result of the incident.

Both suspects were described as two white males, around five-feet-nine-inches tall, with a medium build.
