Mother Arrested For DUI After Collision With Motorcycle
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Warren County woman has been arrested for driving under the influence after a collision that killed a motorcyclist.
Officials with the Bowling Green Police Department said 18-year-old Alexander Harkins was riding a motorcycle near the intersection of Scottsville Road and Shive Lane in Bowling Green when he collided with an SUV being driven by 28-year-old Kathy Keller.
Police said Harkins was attempting to turn left from Shive Lane onto Scottsville Road when he collided with the SUV.
Harkins was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. It was not known whether or not he was wearing a helmet.
Keller’s two daughters were also inside the vehicle at the time of the collision but escaped without injury.
Keller was arrested and charged with second degree manslaughter, two counts of first degree wanton endangerment, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
She was booked into the Warren County Regional Jail. Bond was not available.
