Dickson County Man Indicted For Filing False Report
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A 22-year-old Dickson County man has been indicted for allegedly filing a false report.
Officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Zachery Craig Huff, who was released from the Bedford County Jail on unrelated charges, was taken into custody Wednesday.
The TBI began investigating Huff on September 4, 2013 after he allegedly filed a false report about a traffic stop. They said Huff told authorities that an agent found a small amount of marijuana on him and further alleged the agent took approximately $2,500 in cash from him.
In December 2013, the Dickson County Grand Jury returned an indictment for Huff, charging him with one count of False Report to an Officer.
Huff was booked into the Dickson County Jail, where, at the time of this release, he was being held on $20,000 bond.
