Crews Respond To Fire At Nashville Restaurant

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Firefighters were called out to a fire that broke out in the kitchen of a Davidson County eatery.

The blaze started around 8:30 p.m. Friday at the City Gyro restaurant, located at 5015 Nolensville Pike.

Officials with the Nashville Fire Department said the fire broke out in the back, in the kitchen area. Flames did not spread outside of the restaurant.

Smoke made its way into the Aquatic Critter pet store in the same building, but crews were able to clear it out. All the animals inside were okay.

Investigators were still working to determine the exact cause of the fire. An estimate of damages was not available.
