Police Want To Identify Suspected Car Burglar, Identity Thief
SMYRNA, Tenn. – Authorities want to identify a woman who they said has been using credit cards and identification that were stolen during car burglaries.
Smyrna Police said separate burglaries were reported in Smyrna and on the Middle Tennessee State University campus on June 13. The victims’ vehicles had their windows smashed and purses were stolen out of each.
A woman was caught on surveillance using the victims’ ID and bank cards to identify herself as the victim and withdrew thousands of dollars from banks accounts. She also used credit and debit cards to buy Visa Gift cards with the victims’ money.
Smyrna Police said the same suspect was involved in a similar crime in Hendersonville on June 10.
