Woman Arrested For Shooting Death Of Boyfriend
CROSSVILLE, Tenn. – A Cumberland County woman has been arrested after the shooting death of her estranged boyfriend.
The shooting happened on Ackia Drive in Lake Tansi, south of Crossville, around 4:45 a.m. Friday. A neighbor called police after hearing a gunshot at the home.
When deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene, they found the body of 31-year-old Louis Michael Tammaro in the backyard. They said he had been shot.
Deputies detained 36-year-old Stephanie Cole at the scene.
Special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation were called in to investigate at the request of the 13th District Attorney General.
Officials said both Tammaro and Cole lived together at the address for several years, but had become estranged and Tammaro had recently moved out.
Friends NewsChannel 5 spoke to said the couple had relationship problems.
The two were apparently attempting to reconcile.
Details about what led to the shooting were not available.
After questioning Cole, agents arrested her Friday night and charged her with one count of first degree murder.
She was being held without bond, and expected to appear in court Monday morning.
