Firefighter Treated On Scene Of West Nashville House Fire
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A firefighter was treated after being overcome by heat while fighting a house fire in west Nashville on Thursday morning.
Nashville Firefighters said the fire was heavily involved at the home in the 6400 block of Premier Drive when they got on the scene around 8:20 a.m.
The resident was not home at the time, but firefighters rescued a dog and some birds.
One firefighter was overcome by the heat while fighting the blaze, and was treated on the scene. An ambulance left the scene shortly after, but it was unclear if the firefighter was taken to the hospital.
Another firefighter tripped, but was not seriously hurt.
The home suffered some serious damage due to the flames.
Arson investigators responded to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
