Wrong Way Driver Killed In Head-On Crash On I-65N In Kentucky
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A wrong way driver was killed overnight after a head-on collision with a semi-truck along Interstate 65 north in southern Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police said a motorist called around 12:30 a.m. Thursday to report a white SUV was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes in Warren County.
A short time later, authorities said the SUV struck a semi-truck head-on at mile marker 27.8 near Bowling Green.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead the scene by the Warren County Coroner’s Office. He was identified as 31-year-old Richard Gott, of Bowling Green.
The driver of the semi-truck was treated at the Medical Center in Bowling Green with non-life threatening injuries. He was identified as 36-year-old Gary Moody, of Decatur, Georgia.
The investigation was still ongoing.
