Nashville Rescue Mission Needs Bottled Water Donations

CREATED Jun 17, 2014

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With temperatures in the 90s all this week, the Nashville Rescue Mission desperately needs donations of bottled water.

The mission’s Hot Patrol hands out water to Nashville's homeless residents anytime there’s extreme heat, but said their supply is running low.

“The Mission’s Hot Patrol van goes out when the temperature is over 90 degrees,” said Mike Tatar, the Mission’s lead case manager. “We patrol the streets of Nashville handing out cold bottles of water to the homeless, and encouraging them to come back to the Mission for shelter, refreshment and spiritual guidance. We also make water available to our guests throughout the day to insure they stay hydrated.”

Donations of bottled water can be dropped off at the Mission’s Donation Center, located at 616 7thAvenue South, Nashville, TN 37203. Its hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Donations can also be made online at www.nashvillerescuemission.org/donate.
