Man Arrested After Leading Deputies On High Speed Chase
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A 30-year-old man was taken into custody after leading deputies on a high-speed chase in Clarksville on Monday afternoon.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dustin Roby following the pursuit from Wilma Rudolph Boulevard to Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Deputies attempted to stop Roby, who was wanted on multiple felony warrants including evading arrest, but said he refused to stop.
He allegedly ran several vehicles off the road, drove into oncoming traffic, and went through the median during the chase.
The chase ended when he rammed a deputy’s patrol car that was attempting to stop Roby from dirving through a busy intersection.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
Roby was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on 19 charges, including aggravated assault, evading arrest, and reckless endangerment. Authorities said he has a lengthy criminal history.
His bond was set at $396,000.
