2 Arrested For Alleged Assault In North Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two men were arrested for allegedly ambushing a man, woman, and a young girl who thought they were going to get a haircut.

According to the male victim, he said someone he knew told him to come to a location in north Nashville to get a haircut. He along with a woman and her 4-year-old daughter went to the location, and the victim said a car immediately blocked them in.

Police said the suspect, Willie Holloway, got out of the car, threw a large rock through the windshield, breaking glass and hitting the 4-year-old girl in the forehead.

Holloway then allegedly punched the male victim.

Holloway was then joined by another suspect, Kenneth Hawkins. He allegedly began to beat the male victim with brass knuckles until he almost lost consciousness.

Both the man and child were taken to the hospital. The man said he suffered a concussion from the incident. The woman was not hurt.

He also told police he believed the whole thing was a setup. A motive for the assault was unknown.

Holloway and Hawkins were both charged with aggravated assault. Holloway was also charged with vandalism.
