Memphis Man Sentenced To Death For 2012 Killings Of 3
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - A jury has sentenced a Memphis man to death for killing his girlfriend and her parents more than two years ago.
Jurors deliberated for about two hours Sunday afternoon after the conclusion of a sentencing hearing for 31-year-old Sedrick Clayton.
Shelby County Criminal Court Judge Carolyn Wade Blackett read the death penalty verdict aloud.
The 12 person jury convicted Clayton on Saturday of first-degree murder in the fatal shootings of 23-year-old Pashea Fisher and her parents in the Fishers' home on Jan. 19, 2012.
The jury also had the option of giving Clayton a life sentence.
