2 Arrested, 58 Marijuana Plants Seized In Drug Bust
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two suspects were arrested and nearly 60 marijuana plants were seized during a drug raid in Nashville.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the raid was conducted at a mobile home on Sullivan Hollow Road off of Old Charlotte Pike.
Police said 52-year-old William Leader was pulled over for a traffic violation Tuesday night. A large quantity of marijuana was allegedly found inside his truck.
Leader was taken into custody and interviewed by authorities.
Detectives later went to a residence on Old Charlotte Pike and recovered 58 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, two pounds of processed marijuana and equipment used for cultivation.
As officers were about to leave, 28-year-old David M. Hall arrived on the scene. Police said items believed to be used to maintain the grow operation, as well as three mason jars of high-grade marijuana were found in his vehicle.
Leader was jailed in lieu of $55,000 bond. Hall was held in lieu of $27,500 bond.
