Woman Dowsed In Rubbing Alcohol, Set On Fire
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A man was taken into custody after his girlfriend told police he tried to light her on fire.
According to police, the Donald Brown dumped rubbing alcohol on his girlfriend and all over her bed late Friday night at an apartment complex off of 25th Avenue North in Nashville.
The victim called 911 and told emergency dispatchers Brown then set the apartment on fire by lighting the bed with a cigarette lighter.
Officials said the woman sustained minor injuries but was expected to be okay.
There were 11 people total in the apartment complex the night of the fire, but the blaze was kept to only one unit.
Brown was arrested and charged with attempted homicide and aggravated arson. He was booked into the Criminal Justice Center and held on $300,000 bond.
He was expected to make his first court appearance Wednesday morning.
