Jackson Police Investigating Homicide
JACKSON, Tenn. – Police said they are investigating an early morning shooting that resulted in the death of a Jackson man.
Officials with the Jackson Police Department said 24-year-old Jamar Rogers was shot Sunday morning, shortly after he left Ultra Lounge, located on the U.S. 45 Bypass.
As Rogers was getting into his vehicle, he was reportedly struck by a bullet.
Another person drove Rogers to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after 3 a.m.
Police said a beige or gray four-door sedan was seen leaving the area shortly after the incident.
